The Allied Health team works together to assess your needs and provide you with the best possible care.

The Allied Health team provides a range of services that assist you to:
- increase your well-being, independence and enjoyment of daily life
- take part in everyday activities
- reduce the effects of illness, disease or injury and prevent further health problems
- learn how to manage your health condition
EACH Allied Health services include:
- Dietetics
- Occupational therapy
- Physiotherapy
- Podiatry
- Group activities such as:
Exercise classes, Water exercises, Back care education, Relaxation, Tai chi for arthritis, Falls prevention, Carer support, Walk and talk
Hours of service
We are open Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 5.00pm. Services are usually provided at Maroondah Social and Community Health Centre. Some home visits are available for people who are unable to access the Centre due to frailty or disability or when home safety assessments or equipment trials are required.
Parking
Limited parking is available at the back of Maroondah Social and Community Health Centre via Freeman Street.
Street parking is available in the surrounding streets but it is limited to two hours.
The Patterson Street entrance has a circular driveway for drop off and pick up. Parking bays for the disabled are also available and are located adjacent to the main entrance.
Public transport
Maroondah Social and Community Health Centre is located opposite the Ringwood East Railway Station and is an easy five minute walk from there to the front reception.
Bus services are located in the shopping strip in Railway Avenue adjacent to the Ringwood East Railway Station (over the railway track from the Centre).
Eligibility
Priority is always given to people who are most in need and experiencing disadvantage.
People can refer themselves, or be referred by family, friends, carer, GP, hospital or other health professionals.

Fees
Fees are based on income level and ability to pay. Currently, the fees are:
- $8.00 for Health Care Card/Pension Card holders or people on low incomes.
- $12.00 for people on medium level incomes.
Fees are charged in line with the Department of Human Services recommendations.
People experiencing difficulty with the fee payment are encouraged to discuss this with staff. Group activities also incur fees.
