Community Participation - Visions is a community-based service for adults and school leavers with a disability who primarily require services throughout the day (although times can be tailored to the individual outside of these times).

Visions provides supports that are personalised to suit a wide range of needs and interests and include:

• life skills development
• community participation
• personal development and self advocacy
• social, recreation and leisure activities
• pre-employment training
• continuing education

Visions:

• Is underpinned by the individualised planning and support framework.
• Is flexible and responsive to each individual's needs and interests and maximizes independence.
• Links people into activities that are offered within their local community.
• Provides a range of activities in the areas of skill acquisition, continuing education, vocational training, recreation and leisure, social and community support within the local environment.
• Develops partnerships between disability-specific services, local organisations, generic services and communities to increase participation of people living with a disability in their local community.
• Supports the pursuit of paid work as a powerful and valued option where possible and to the fullest extent for each person.
• Coordinates services across a range of locations within the community, including in the person's home.

You can use your Individualised Support Package to purchase supports:

• Throughout the day to participate in Visions group activities or;
• At any time 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to obtain individual supports through Self Directed Support;
• From Abound to assist you to link with recreational, rehabilitation and leisure opportunities.
