Units of competency

Certificate II in Asset Maintenance (Cleaning) Operations consists of 3 core units of competency:

• PRMCL33B (Plan for safe and effective cleaning activities)
• PRMCL35B (Maintain a cleaning storage area)
• PRMCMN201A (Participate in workplace safety arrangements)

And the following 8 electives:

• PRMCL01B (Maintain a hard floor surface)
• PRMCL04B (Maintain a carpeted floor)
• PRMCL09B (Clean glass surfaces)
• PRMCL17B (Clean a wet area)
• PRMCL19B (Remove waste)
• PRMCMN202A (Provide effective client service)
• PRMCL15B (Maintain furnishings, fittings & room dressing)
• PRMCL38A (Clean a food handling area)

Delivery

The course is delivered face to face in the EACH Training rooms at 18 Bond Street, Ringwood; and involved applying skills/knowledge in community settings through observations and short projects.

Assessment

Students are assessed as competent (C) or non-competent (NC) against the skills and knowledge that are needed to complete the tasks of the job. If assessed as not yet competent (NYC) a student has the opportunity to resubmit their work twice in order to gain competency.

Course Cost: $325.00

Free training is available under the Productivity Places Program funded by the government provided there are places available (currently there are not but this may change in the future). EACH Training is registered to deliver training for people accessing the Parents Returning to Work grant. If you are a parent and you have been out of the workforce for 2 or more years and want to do some training to help you get back into the workforce - you are eligible to apply for this grant of $1000 to help with you studies.
