Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST)
How can we support people to choose life when painful expereinces prevent them from seeing a way forward?
ASIST provides practical support for caregivers seeking to prevent the immediate risk of suicide. Participants often include people concerned about family and friends; counsellors, psychologists and social workers; teachers and ministers; workers in health, welfare and justice; community volunteers; emergency service workers.
This interactive program includes teaching, discussion, video's (DVD), and skills practise plus morning and afternoon tea's and lunch. Participants also recieve a certificate, a handbook and an E-Book (Compact Disk).
