The McCaughey Centre has worked on the ‘Liveable and Just' project with the Victorian Local Governance Association, Brotherhood of St Laurence, Department of Sustainability and Environment, Victorian Council of Social Service and Department of Planning and Community Development, and the research has benefited greatly from engagement and dialogue with many different Councillors and staff at local governments and community organisations across Victoria.

The toolkit contains information about the impacts of climate change on people and communities in Victoria and the implications for local government responsibilities and activities. It brings together a wide range of tools, case studies, links and resources to assist people working in and with different areas of local government to plan for and respond to these impacts including from areas of health and wellbeing, community and economic development, sustainability, and strategic planning.
