Our services
Maroondah Social and Community Health Centre provides services to:
Families and children
- child therapy and family support (counselling and psychology for children 0-12 and their families and speech pathology for pre school age)
- dental clinic - Children from birth to five years and secondary students from Year 9 onwards are eligible for free treatment
- counselling, assessment and support for families and individuals
- each child long day care and kindergarten
- early childhood intervention services including specialist support for children with autism spectrum disorder
- parent education programs and groups
Adults
- counselling, assessment and support
- podiatry
- physiotherapy
- occupational therapy
- dietetics
- dental
- allied health groups including water exercise, tai chi for arthritis, exercise classes, falls prevention programs, weight management. (Current details available through the allied health staff)

- providing an integrated and coordinated approach to health care.
Specialist services
Sexual and Reproductive Health Clinic for Women
The clinic staff provide information, counselling, medical services, referral and education to women of all ages.
Dental Clinic
Provides general, emergency and denture care services to children and adults holding a Pension Card or Health Care card.

Refugee Health Clinic
Includes health assessments, liaison with General Practitioners (GPs) and immunisation.
Aboriginal Health Promotion and Chronic Care (ahpacc)
The AHPACC staff provide support to Indigenous people with, or at risk of, chronic disease and assist them in accessing culturally appropriate health care.
Interpreter assistance
Interpreters can be arranged free of charge for a variety of languages. Please let us know if you need an interpreter when you make an appointment.
Eligibility
Priority is always given to people who are most in need and experiencing disadvantage.
People can refer themselves or be referred by family, friends, carers, GPs, hospital or other health professionals.
Contact the Intake Worker on 9837 3999 for information about eligibility or to make a referral.
Fees
Some services include a fee and this will be identified when you arrange for an appointment.
People experiencing difficulty with the fee payment are encouraged to discuss this with staff.
Group activities also incur fees.
Cancellations
Please call 9837 3999 to advise reception if you need to cancel your appointment.
If we are given 24 hours notice, we have the opportunity to offer the cancelled appointment to another person. At the same time another appointment time can be organised.
Parking
The Patterson Street entrance has a circular driveway for drop off and pick up. Parking bays, including some disabled parking, are also available and are located adjacent to the main entrance.
Limited parking is available at the back of maroondah social and community health centre via Freeman Street.
Street parking is available in the surrounding streets but it is limited to two hours.
