In partnership with the NSW Office of Premier and Cabinet, EACH auspices the Armidale Midnight Basketball tournaments.

Launched in Redfern in 2007, Midnight Basketball is open to anyone aged 12 to 18 years, looking for a fun, healthy, social activity on a Saturday night.

About the program

This free program includes a nine-week basketball tournamet run twice per year, healthy dinners, interactive life skills workshops as well as a chance to meet new people in a safe environment.

Midnight Basketball has the motto, 'No Workshop, No Jumpshot' which means all players must attend the life skills workshop that is run on the night in order to play basketball.

Workshops deal with real issues such as:

• healthy living
• substance abuse
• anger management
• employment
• financial issues

Free transport is provided to ensure that the players arrive home safely at the end of the evening.
