A new year, a new you - 100 Day Challenge.
Want to change your relationship with gambling?
Sign up to the 100 Day Challenge to start the year off in the way you mean to go on, whether that means a short break from gambling, reducing the amount of time or money you spend on gambling activities, or quitting all together.
Our Gambler’s Help Eastern service, in collaboration with the Victorian Responsible Gambling Foundation, encourages anyone in the community who wants to make the change in 2019 to take part in the 100 Day Challenge’s 100 recreational alternatives to gambling.
“The steadily growing 100 Day Challenge community boasts an active online presence, with participants sharing ideas, experiences, hurdles and successes as they track progress against their individual goals,” said Peter Ruzlya, EACH CEO.
“The activities offered cover a range of wellness, solitary, practical, physical, creative and social options that are fun while serving also as distractions and reminders of the importance of a balanced lifestyle.
“In addition, the program provides practical, effective support through useful tools, such as tips and advice for managing finances.”
Mr Ruzlya said the 100 Day Challenge, which is available in app and web-based formats, had been designed with the assistance of therapeutic services.
“It provides an opportunity for participants to reflect on the role of gambling in their lives and offers a supportive framework in which they can achieve the goals they have set for themselves,” Mr Ruzlya said.
Since its launch six months ago, more than 4000 people have taken on the challenge.
