EACH, in partnership with Tenterfield Family and Youth Support Service and Moree Plains Shire Council has been successful in obtaining the Youth Connections program in Upper New England, New South Wales.
Youth Connections is a national program which assists young people who are disengaged or at risk of disengaging from education or training, to remain in education, or to connect into further education, training or work. The Youth Connections program will provide flexible and tailored case management, youth focused activities, as well as working in partnership with education providers and other community organisations to build and maintain relationships with at risk young people.
Youth Connections is an initiative of the Commonwealth Government through the Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations (DEEWR).
This contract follows the recent successful tender for the Community Support Service program (funded by FaHCSIA) in July 2009 for Glen Innes NSW that supports Indigenous community members and their families by providing linking and referrals to a range of mainstream and Indigenous services.
