ACT Childhood Intervention - School Aged Therapy Services
EACH's ACT Childhood Intervention - School Aged Therapy Services is a multi disciplinary therapy service working with NDIS participants aged 7 to 18 living in the Canberra region.
EACH's team approach includes:
- Support that goes beyond just therapy - we include advocacy, emotional support, and collaboration with other services
- A co-ordinated approach to your child's intervention.
This service in Hawker is delivered by a multi-disciplinary therapy team working with NDIS participants from 7 years of age to 18. We are based at Birubi Chambers, where we are able to see clients in our 3 clinic rooms, but we can also travel to homes, schools or in the community throughout Canberra. Appointments available immediately.
We will work with you to help children develop the skills they need to take part in everyday activities.
Currently we have 8 people in our team, comprising of Speech Pathologists, Occupational Therapists, a Physiotherapist, as well as Lyndsay as team Leader and Sonia as office administrator.
Lyndsay – Team Leader & Physiotherapist
Lyndsay has over 25 years’ experience in the field of paediatric physiotherapy both in the UK and Australia. She has specialised for the last 14 years in complex physical disabilities of childhood, with a particular interest in cerebral palsy developmental and global delays.Lyndsay will work with you and your child to help them achieve their goals, through activity/exercise based programs, prescription of assistive technology, splinting and casting, hydrotherapy to name a few! Lyndsay works full time at EACH.
Sonia – Office Administrator
Sonia can be reached on the office phone line and can help with any enquiries about NDIS billing, appointment times, invoices or general enquiries and works part time Monday to Thursday. Sonia has a diverse background in administration and in the community sector and brings a wide variety of skills to her role in supporting the staff team at EACH ACT. She enjoys dealing with people and assisting them to have the best experience with EACH.
Rebecca – Occupational Therapist
Rebecca is an Occupational Therapist with a background as an early childhood and early intervention teacher. This mix of skills is a great one for supporting clients with a broad range of skills. Rebecca enjoys supporting children with fine motor, sensory, self-regulation, mobility, and literacy issues. Rebecca has a Certificate II in Auslan and she works full time.
Christine – Occupational Therapist
Christine is an Occupational Therapist and has a background in primary teaching and disability support work. Christine has previously been an Early Intervention Early Childhood Coordinator, assisting families in accessing the NDIS. Christine enjoys working with families and supporting children’s development and has an interest in sensory, emotional regulation and fine motor. She also enjoys travelling and seeing the world. Christine works full time.
Emma – Speech Pathologist
Emma is a speech pathologist with a background in linguistics and speech technology.
She enjoys collaborating with clients and their families on developing their communication skills and has a particular interest in working with children who have language, literacy or speech difficulties. Emma works part time.
Bronwyn – Speech Pathologist
Bronwyn is a speech pathologist from Canberra. She enjoys helping children to build their communication skills in order to access more of family, school, and community life. Bronwyn works with children who have language, literacy, and social communication difficulties, and those who require AAC. She also helps families and carers develop strategies to support those in their care. Bronwyn works full time.
Abbey – Speech Pathologist
Abbey completed a Bachelor of Speech and Language Pathology at Charles Sturt University. She is registered as a Certified Practicing Speech Pathologist with the national body, Speech Pathology Australia. Abbey is able to provide assessment and intervention to children who have speech, language and swallowing difficulties. The variety of clients and their complex communication needs is something that she has particularly enjoyed since commencing employment with EACH Child in February 2018. Abbey works full time.
Brooke – Speech Pathologist
Brooke is a Certified Practicing Speech Pathologist from Canberra. With a psychology degree and having previously worked in the public service, Brooke recently graduated as a Speech Pathologist after deciding on a career change. Brooke is able to provide assessment and treatment for a variety of communication, speech and swallowing difficulties and she enjoys working with children and their families, and has a particular interest in working with kids who have complex communication needs. Brooke works part time.

The cost of this program is in line with NDIS pricing. Exact costs wil lbe determined by quote.

This program’s office hours: Monday to Friday 9.00am to 5.00pm.
