School Leaver Employment Supports - SLES
EACH can support the transition from Year 12 towards employment with new NDIS catergory School Leaver Employment Supports (SLES).
Are you a NDIS particpant in Year 12 and thinking about employment?
We can support you transition from school to work with our School Leaver Employment Support (SLES) services.
SLES is an initiative by the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) offering individualised support for up to 2 years after finishing year 12 to help you get ready for work and plan your pathway to employment.
EACH has collaborated with Aspect Capable (Autism Spectrum Australia) and is now offering autism-specific School Leaver Employment Support services!
We are running a 3 month program for school leavers and young adults, commencing April 2018. This program offers both hands-on practical work experience and autism-specifically designed pre-employment training. Participants will have the opportunity to develop employability and social skills and then put them into practice in a real internship in which participants are supported one-on-one.
Duration: 3 months from April – June 2018. This is a two day per week program
Location: We are offering this service in Melbourne’s North-East Region
Funding and cost: Both School leaver Employment Support (SLES) and Core supports (access to community) can be used for this program.
