We understand that healthy child development is the key to children thriving and doing well in school, relationships and life. We all want our children to do well and succeed. Whatever parenting style we use to raise our children, supporting their development is the foundation.
As a community we believe that we can support child development by supporting parents. We can do this by building skills and creating a culture that values and acknowledges parents as an important part of this process. For children and young people to thrive in our community, family connection and strong bonds create the conditions that make it less likely for young people to engage in substance use and other problem behaviour.
