Manningham Youth Services provides recreational, personal and skill development opportunities for young people who live, work, go to school or hang out in our community.
Our current offerings include:
Consultations with a youth worker to provide guidance, support, advice and access to opportunities within the local area.
Youth Advisory Council (YAC):
The YAC is a group of passionate young people from Manningham who are interested in to enhancing their leadership capacity, contributing to community projects and engaging in civic activities.
The COURAGE Program is an in-school early-intervention/preventative program that has been created to support young people who may be at risk of disengaging. The COURAGE Program focuses on seven key youth development areas: Confidence, Originality, Understanding, Resilience, Accountability, Gratitude and Empowerment. This program encourages growth in leadership, social skills and connection of peers.
The Mental Health Awareness/Trauma Informed Care Program:
International Student Well Being Program:
This program supports young international students living or studying in Manningham.
Young Female’s Leadership Program:
This program supports young females (aged 10-14) to participate in fun, supportive and engaging activities outside of school. This group of young women will have the opportunity to make new friends and learn skills whilst having fun in a supportive environment.
LGBTQIA+ Support Service:
This program encourages participation and collaboration of young people and our ageing population.
WILD is a Bush Adventure Therapy (BAT) program. The WILD program gives people a safe space to discover who they are and encourages their personal development by connecting them to their surrounding environment. The program supports participants to develop healthy relationships with self, others and the environment and to be able to make positive changes through bush adventure therapy.
