A program for parents and carers of children with a disability.
Tuning in to Kids® is an evidence-based parenting program that focuses on the emotional connection between parents and children. In particular, the program teaches parents skills in emotion coaching, which is to recognise, understand and respond to children’s emotions in an accepting, supportive way. This approach helps the child to understand and manage their emotions.
This series of FREE online workshops are a partnership between our Family Relationship Support for Carers Service and Alfred Health Carer Services.
The course will be presented by Kate French, Clinical Psychologist at Side by Side Psychology. Kate has been a “Tuning into Kids” and “Tuning into Teens” facilitator for years and is passionate about helping children become more resilient and have better emotional regulation skills. She will be taking parents through the 6-week program via the closed online Zoom platform – view the program breakdown below.
