Discover the gambling-like tactics and features used by the designers of many popular online games played by young people and discover how parents and carers can help to keep them safe.
Delivered by EACH – Gamblers Help Eastern the one-hour session will cover:
- how some video games expose young people to gambling
- loot boxes, simulated gambling and microtransactions
- signs of gaming addiction
- how to keep young people safe.

What is BE AHEAD OF THE GAME?
Be Ahead of the Game is a gambling awareness program for young people. It helps school communities understand how young people may be affected by gambling and mitigate the risks. The research-backed program is developed by the Victorian Responsible Gambling Foundation in partnership with Gambler’s Help community educators.
