Our Oral Health Team continue to connect with vulnerable communities through the coronavirus pandemic to promote key health messages.
The Smiles 4 Miles key messages – Drink Well, Eat Well and Clean Well, were delivered in the Migrant Information Centre’s Chin Zomi playgroup Zoom sessions recently.
EACH Oral Health Therapists presented on the importance of choosing tap water over sweet and sugary drinks and eating a healthy well-balanced diet that is free from excess sugars and salts. They also demonstrated correct brushing techniques and shared tips and tricks on how to assist parents in making brushing enjoyable for everyone.
The sessions followed on from a recent Dental Health Week social media campaign by our oral health team, where they shared videos that have tips and information on maintaining good oral health.
Feedback from the Migrant Information Centre and families is that they found the sessions valuable, ensuring that they continue good oral health habits. 😁
