This year National Diabetes Week will be on 10th – 16th July and EACH will be hosting two FREE seminars for people in the community living with Type 1 or 2 Diabetes:
Type 2 Diabetes – Coming to your Senses
A FREE seminar for community residents and their family members living with Type 2 Diabetes, to gain knowledge on how their senses can be affected by diabetes and how to improve their quality of life.
The event will cover:
- Vision
- Feeling
- Hearing
- Guest speakers
- Trade displays
When: Wednesday 13 July 2016
Time: 12.45pm – 3.15pm
Cost: Free (afternoon tea provided)

Type 1 Diabetes – Breaking down the Barriers
A FREE seminar for community residents and their family members living with Type 1 Diabetes, who are seeking ways to break down barriers and improve quality of life for people with diabetes.
The event will feature:
- Guest Speaker – Jack Fitzpatrick, Hawthorn Football Player
- Guest Speaker – Susanne Baxandall, Advocacy Officer at Diabetes Victoria
- Interactive diabetes management options
- Trade displays
