  • Form a critical part of the headspace team based in Narre Warren and Pakenham!
  • Full-time – Fixed Term position to June 2026 (Maternity Leave coverage)
  • $43.27 - $47.33 per hour (dependent on skills and qualifications) + super + salary packaging benefits of up to $18,550

Are you passionate about supporting young people and making a meaningful impact in your community? headspace Casey Cardinia is seeking a motivated and compassionate Access Clinician to help facilitate service access pathways for young people and their families across our Narre Warren and Pakenham centres.

Your Role, Your Impact

In this vital role, you will contribute to our centralised intake system through client triage, assessment, and appropriate referrals, ensuring timely and inclusive access to care especially for those facing barriers to in-centre services. You’ll deliver evidence-based interventions via in-person and telehealth sessions, participate in clinical reviews and multidisciplinary meetings, and support early career professionals through shared assessments and development opportunities. Qualifications

Who We’re Looking For

Our ideal candidate will be a passionate mental health professional, bringing strong clinical expertise and a commitment to early intervention for young people.

  • Extensive experience conducting mental health assessments, risk assessments, psychoeducation, and short-term interventions including single session therapy with young people and their families.
  • Demonstrated high-level interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with clients, families, and service providers.
  • A solid understanding of child and youth mental health, relevant legislation, and the broader service system is essential.
  • Experience working with diverse communities including CALD, LGBTIQA+, Indigenous young people, and those at risk of homelessness.
  • Proficiency in electronic client management systems, the ability to manage competing priorities, and experience providing online counselling support are also key requirements.
  • Minimum Tertiary Qualification in nursing, psychology, occupational therapy, social work, counselling or other related degree.
  • Eligible for membership with the association in your field.
