  • Located in Ferntree Gully and Ringwood East - Woiwurrung, Boon Wurrung & Bunurong Nations (Wurundjeri, Boon Wurrung & Bunurong Peoples)
  • $65.75 per hour + 11.5% Super + Generous Salary Packaging benefits of up to $18,550    

We have an exciting opportunity in our Occupational Therapy team for an experienced and dedicated Team Leader. This role manages a team of Allied Health professionals, providing leadership and guidance on a daily basis. The Primary Care program provides support to people of all ages in the Maroondah and Knox areas. This program delivers services through multiple funding streams including NDIS, Support at Home, HACC and CHSP.

Your Role, Your Impact

This role involves leading and managing the Occupational Therapy (OT) team to deliver high-quality, person-centred care aligned with Each’s values and behaviours. The successful candidate will provide clinical leadership while overseeing performance, service delivery, and innovation. Responsibilities include ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and standards, managing staff supervision and development, maintaining equipment and service rosters, and driving continuous improvement and financial sustainability. The position requires strong collaboration across internal and external stakeholders, effective risk and incident management, and representation of the OT team in relevant forums. The leader will also maintain a clinical caseload within their role.

Qualifications

 

Who We’re Looking For

  • Relevant degree or postgraduate tertiary qualifications in Occupational Therapy
  • Registration with AHPRA along with membership or eligibility for membership of Occupational Therapy Australia.
  • Current state-based driver’s license
  • Current Level 1 First Aid and CPR
  • National NDIS worker screening check and Working with Children Check
  • Leadership experience within Occupational Therapy or related allied health discipline(s) and/or services
  • Experience in working with and leading personnel from diverse backgrounds, across multiple disciplines and working across multiple different sites and locations
  • Experience in supporting others to establish innovative and effective models of service delivery
  • Experience in working with a manager to manage (develop, maintain and/or monitor) budgets, financial performance and performance against targets
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation requirements, quality improvement frameworks, WH&S requirements, accreditation processes, clinical governance, and risk management
  • Knowledge and understanding of customer and community involvement in service planning, delivery and evaluation, and the ability to actively contribute to planning and lead such approaches
