Each is delivering the Each One Matters program across the Mid North Coast, providing tailored mental health support for older people living in residential aged care. We’re looking for a compassionate Mental Health Clinician who can offer high-quality counselling, emotional connection, and therapeutic support to improve the wellbeing of some of the most isolated members of our community.

Your role. Your impact.
You’ll play a vital role in reducing psychological distress among aged care residents by offering trauma-informed, culturally sensitive, and evidence-based care. Through individual and group therapy, you’ll support older people experiencing grief, depression, anxiety, adjustment issues, or a history of trauma.

Reporting to the Services Manager, you’ll:

  • Deliver one-on-one and group counselling to older people in aged care
  • Work across multiple aged care sites to meet client needs
  • Maintain appropriate clinical records and meet service KPIs (12 individual sessions and up to 5 group sessions per week – pro rata)
  • Build strong relationships with facility staff, carers, and other support providers
  • Contribute to a culture of clinical excellence through supervision and reflective practice

Who we’re looking for
You’re an experienced mental health clinician with a calm, person-centred approach and:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Social Work, Counselling, Psychology, etc.)
  • Experience delivering counselling or mental health support in aged care, community, or health settings
  • Strong therapeutic skills in modalities such as ACT, mindfulness, or brief therapy
  • A collaborative approach to care coordination and stakeholder engagement
  • A current driver’s license and ability to travel between service locations

What will make you stand out?

  • Knowledge of the aged care sector and the unique challenges faced by older adults
  • Experience delivering therapy in residential or home-based settings
  • Familiarity with local service networks across the Mid North Coast

What’s in it for you
At Each, we’ll support you to be your best with:
✔ A values-led, inclusive culture – Join a team that genuinely cares about people and community
Flexibility & autonomy – Work across varied sites with trust and support
✔ Generous not-for-profit salary packaging – Up to $18,550 in tax-reduction benefits
✔ Professional growth – Ongoing supervision, reflective practice & development opportunities
✔ Wellbeing-first approach – Support for your mental health and work-life balance
