  • Based on the eastern shores of nipaluna/Hobart in lutruwita/Tasmania + future requirement to travel to the North and North/West Tasmania 
  • Salary: Dependent on qualifications and experience + 12% Super + Generous Salary Packaging benefits of up to $18,550

About the Program
The headspace Early Psychosis Program at Each supports young people and their families to recover from early psychosis, using evidence-based, youth-friendly, and recovery-focused interventions. Our multidisciplinary team is passionate about empowering young people to achieve their goals and live well.

Your role, your impact
As Recovery Team Leader, you’ll lead a dedicated team delivering innovative, recovery-focused care to young people experiencing early psychosis. Your leadership will shape the quality and reach of our services - supporting young people, their families, and our community to thrive.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate daily operations of the Recovery Team
  • Deliver and oversee evidence-based, youth-friendly interventions
  • Provide clinical oversight and direct service delivery, including case management
  • Guide and supervise multidisciplinary staff, ensuring quality and consistency
  • Develop and implement innovative recovery projects and group programs
  • Manage referrals to ensure timely and appropriate service access
  • Monitor and evaluate program effectiveness through data and reporting
  • Build collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Support and supervise Peer Support Workers and vocational staff
  • Promote culturally safe and inclusive practices for all young people

Who we’re looking for

  • Demonstrated experience in youth mental health, especially early intervention for psychosis
  • Strong leadership and team coordination skills
  • Advanced clinical skills in recovery assessments and interventions
  • High-level communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Experience in supervision, mentoring, and performance management
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Skilled in data management, documentation, and reporting
  • Tertiary qualification in Allied Health or a related discipline
  • Eligibility for registration with a relevant professional body (AHPRA or AASW)
  • Current driver’s licence

  • Experience in service development and continuous quality improvement
  • Knowledge of the Tasmania Mental Health service system
  • Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and facilitating caseload reviews
