About the program
headspace is Australia’s National Youth Mental Health Foundation, and Each is proud to be one of its lead agencies. Together, we support thousands of young people - and their families and friends - through over 145 headspace centres across the country, as well as online and phone counselling, vocational services, and school-based programs.
Your role, your impact
As a Clinical Educator, you’ll play a vital role in shaping the next generation of mental health professionals. You will:
- Provide day-to-day supervision, mentoring and support for students on clinical placement
- Design, develop and deliver training programs that build student capability
- Facilitate high-quality clinical placements and ensure positive learning outcomes
- Collaborate with teaching institutions to coordinate placements and assessments
- Engage with internal teams and external partners to strengthen integration and student experience
Your leadership will help students grow in confidence and competence, while directly contributing to better mental health outcomes for young people in our community.
Who we’re looking for
You’ll bring:
- A youth-friendly, optimistic, and professional approach
- Strong clinical assessment and intervention skills in youth mental health
- Proven leadership and mentoring capabilities
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Strong organisational skills and resilience
Mandatory qualifications:
- Tertiary qualifications in Clinical Psychology, Occupational Therapy, or Social Work
- Current registration with AHPRA or relevant professional body
What will make you stand out
- Experience working with diverse populations, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander, LGBTIQA+, CALD, and neurodiverse communities
- Knowledge of trauma-informed and developmentally appropriate care
- Experience in clinical education and supervision aligned with registration requirements
