Outer Eastern Borderline Personality Disorder Carers Support Group

Are you caring for a loved one with a diagnosis of Borderline Personality Disorder?

Caring for a loved one with a diagnosis of Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD) can often be challenging and overwhelming.

Meeting with other Carers who share your experience can be reassuring and informative.

We invite you to join the Outer Eastern BPD Carers Support Group in 2021. Support groups help to overcome feelings of stigma and isolation, gain access to services and resources, and provide respite and support.

Learn through the experience of others, sharing ideas, gaining insight into the disorder and meeting with experienced Carer Peers.

Guidelines for participants

Please understand that this group is a Self Help group, facilitating staff are not acting as counsellors in the group. The facilitator’s role is to provide an opportunity for Carers to gather and discuss their caring role in a safe and supportive environment. At times guest speakers (of relevant topics) will be invited to the group.

Attendance is optional and flexible, just attend whenever is suitable for you.

Your privacy is important and confidentiality is essential. What is said in the group stays in the group. Silence is acceptable, no one needs to say anything they do not wish to say.

If the meetings raise difficult issues please contact your GP or mental health professional.
