  • Based at our Rockhampton office, on the traditional lands of the Bailai, Gurang, Gooreng Gooreng, and Taribelang Bunda peoples
  • $51.23 – $54.39/hr (dependant on exp. and qual.) + 12% Super + Salary Packaging benefits of up to $18,550

The Youth Enhanced Services (YES) program supports young people aged 12–25 experiencing severe and complex mental health challenges. Delivered through the CCQ Mental Health AOD Hubs, the program offers multidisciplinary care, therapeutic interventions, and community connection to help young people thrive.

Your role, your impact

As a Senior Mental Health Clinician, you’ll lead the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based therapy to young people, while mentoring junior clinicians and contributing to service development. You’ll work closely with families, schools, and local services to create coordinated care plans that make a real difference in young lives.  You will work from home, see clients in the community, work from headspace office, or work from MMH office.

What you’ll be doing

  • Lead and deliver specialist counselling using CBT, DBT, ACT and other modalities
  • Support and mentor junior clinicians to maintain high service standards
  • Collaborate with local stakeholders to ensure integrated care
  • Document clinical work accurately and meet service targets
  • Participate in supervision, team meetings, and referral pathway development

Who we’re looking for

  • Experience in individual therapy with adolescents
  • Understanding of trauma, youth mental health, and recovery principles
  • Experience in delivering evidence based therapies including CBT, DBT and ACT
  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field
  • Current registration with a professional body
