Our Refugee Health servcie supports newly arrived refugees or asylum seekers with a thorough assessment of their current health and treatment or preventative interventions to ensure existing or at-risk conditions are managed appropriately.
This service provides:
- Comprehensive health assessments
- Catch-up immunisations and mantoux testing
- General Practitioner clinic
- Refugee Health Nurse Practitioner clinic
- Health education
We also support other service providers and clinicians in the Eastern Metropolitan Region to provide appropriate support and services to the refugee and asylum seeker population groups.
Who can access this service?
This service supports any refugee or asylum seeker who has not participated in a comprehensive initial health assessment since arriving in Australia or has an existing medical or nursing need that is not being attended to by another community or acute health service provider.
