In the year 2000, we first asked ourselves an important question about what showing up for First Nations Communities really meant. Today, we are proudly guided by our 2025–2027 Innovate Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP), formally endorsed by Reconciliation Australia.

Reconciliation is more than a word. It’s a shared responsibility. It’s an opportunity.

As our third Innovate RAP, this marks an important step forward on Each’s reconciliation journey. It builds on years of learning, unlearning, reflection and partnership — giving us the opportunity to look honestly at what’s working and where we can do better.

Our focus is on making reconciliation part of how we work every day. Not as a siloed initiative, but as something that genuinely guides our decision‑making. This includes prioritising cultural safety across our programs, services and systems, and building trust with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples.

At the heart of our RAP is a commitment to collaboration. This means walking alongside Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisations (ACCOs) and First Nations Communities, ensuring our work is guided by their priorities and perspectives, not assumptions. It also means supporting the growth of our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander workforce, recognising the important role their knowledge, leadership and lived experience plays in creating culturally safe and responsive services.

We know our work won’t always be perfect, and there will be challenges along the way. But we also know reconciliation is an ongoing journey — one that requires perseverance, humility and a willingness to keep showing up, again and again.

As we begin this next chapter, we’d like to thank the First Nations Peoples in our team and community for the wisdom, guidance and care they continue to share.
