- Based in Hervey Bay or Gympie – community-based role + Hybrid working conditions
- $44.78 - 48.99ph + 12% Super + Salary Packaging up to $18,550
The Youth Enhanced Services (YES) program supports young people aged 12–18 experiencing moderate to severe mental health challenges. The program delivers evidence‑based, recovery‑oriented mental health care through strong partnerships with families, schools, and community services.

Your role, your impact
As a Mental Health Clinician, you’ll deliver high‑quality therapeutic support to young people and their families, working within a collaborative, multidisciplinary team.
You’ll provide evidence‑based interventions, manage clinical risk, and contribute to coordinated care that supports positive mental health outcomes. This role offers a balance of autonomous clinical work and strong team connection, with opportunities to build meaningful relationships across the service system.
What you’ll be doing
- Deliver evidence‑based mental health treatment to young people aged 12–18 with complex presentations
- Apply therapeutic approaches such as ACT, mindfulness, and brief interventions
- Work collaboratively with families, schools, and external agencies to coordinate care
- Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation and data entry
- Manage clinical risk and respond to child safety concerns in line with legislation and frameworks
- Develop and strengthen referral pathways and community partnerships
- Actively participate in clinical supervision, peer support, and team meetings
Who we’re looking for
You’ll bring:
- Demonstrated experience working with young people and families in a mental health or community setting
- Knowledge of trauma‑informed practice, mental health recovery principles, and vulnerable populations
- Experience or capability in delivering evidence‑based therapeutic interventions
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline
- Current registration and/or membership with a relevant professional body
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and time‑management skills
- Confidence working with people from diverse cultural and community backgrounds, including First Nations and LGBTIQ+ communities
