  • FTE: Part-time 0.6 - 1FTE until June 2027 (with the possibility of extension)
  • Location: Byron Bay (Bundjalung Nation), Coffs Harbour (Gumbaynggirr) or Port Macquarie (Birpai Nation) office
  • Hourly Pay: Up to $56.65ph (depending on qualifications & experience)
  • Generous Salary Packaging: Up to $18,550!

Each is the Lead Agency of the Therapeutic Alliance, a consortium of community based, not-for-profit services who provide services across the North Coast of NSW. The alliance will deliver the Primary Mental Health Program through a multidisciplinary, person centred, hub-and-spoke model of care. 

What you’ll be doing 
As a Mental Health Clinician, you'll play a crucial role in developing and delivering high-quality services, while collaborating with a team of experts in a multidisciplinary environment. Your impact will include:

  • Coordinating care with psychiatrists, GPs, and clinicians for complex mental health and dual diagnosis cases.
  • Providing evidence-based treatment through individual, group, and family settings.
  • Managing holistic assessments & care planning for clients with diverse needs.
  • Contributing to team meetings & case reviews to ensure the best outcomes.
  • Developing culturally appropriate services for diverse communities.
  • Participating in quality improvement initiatives to elevate service delivery.

Who we’re looking for 
Are you passionate about supporting those with complex mental health needs and co-occurring issues? Do you have the skills to develop and deliver exceptional mental health care? If so, we'd love to hear from you!

You’ll need:

  • Experience with Complex Mental Health: Demonstrated experience working with individuals with moderate to severe mental health issues, co-morbidities, and co-occurring contexts.
  • Clinical Practice Excellence: Knowledge of and applied understanding of relevant clinical theories and demonstrated excellence in practice for complex and severe mental health issues.
  • Knowledge of therapeutic approaches like DBT, ACT, & recovery-based models.
  • Strong skills in mental health treatment planning & trauma-informed care.
  • Excellent experience in risk assessment and after-care planning.

Qualifications

  • Tertiary Qualifications in Nursing or Social Work.
  • Post Graduate qualifications in Mental Health (highly regarded).
  • Current state-based driver’s license
