Growing together small grants for schools
Helping your school garden grow
Does your school want to start or improve a food garden? If you're in Knox or Maroondah, you can apply for up to $1,200 to help students learn about growing and eating healthy food.

Who can apply
Your school can apply if you're in Knox or Maroondah. Both primary and secondary schools are welcome. We'll give priority to public schools.
You'll need to complete your project between July and October 2026.
What your grant can support
You could use the money for garden beds, tools, plants or outdoor learning spaces. Or put it towards cooking classes or community gardening events.
Your project should:
Boost activities in your school edible garden
Help students eat more fruits and vegetables

Contribute to a lasting healthy eating culture at your school
