How we help
Getting your driver's licence takes time and practice. Our program matches young learner drivers who do not have access to an adult with a drivers license with a volunteer mentor who can provide driving practice in the L2P car.
What we provide

- support from a fully licensed adult
- help to log your hours
- regular practice sessions
Who is it for?
For young people in specific locations in VIC
This service is for:
- Young people, aged 16-21
- First Nations people, aged 16-21
- People in Bayswater, Boronia, Ferntree Gully, Knoxfield, Rowville, Scoresby, The Basin, Wantirna South and Wantirna, VIC

We receive government funding so we can provide our support at no cost or for a small fee.
This service is provided at no cost for eligible learner drivers.
If you're eligible for the L2P learner driver mentor program, you can apply in a few simple steps:
- Log in to your myVicRoads account or create an account
- Go to 'licences and learner permits'
- Scroll down and select 'apply as a learner in the TAC L2P program'.
